The origin of this riddim take us back to 1967, when Leroy Sibbles cut a track as a duet with Rocky titled Love me girl, whcih was a b-track to the Dwn Penn's No No No single!

Still the riddim was back in business almost ten years later at 1976 ,in a about to become dominant Channel One ,which cut the riddim with Dillinger titled as Natty A General, with Joe Joe Hookim as the producer ,which eventually baptised the riddim ,simply as General.Riddim used a lot in the 80s ,and early 90s,and is of course used till today, like every classic riddim.
